FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about the CG-719 wizard, pricing, and how schools review packets.
- What is EasyMMC?
- A guided web app that walks a mariner through the USCG captain's license application (the CG-719 series) and produces signed, ready-to-submit PDFs. Captain's license schools review and approve the packets before they go to the USCG.
- Which forms does it generate?
- CG-719B, K, C, S, and P, with redundant fields auto-populated across every form. New CG-719 revisions are added as the USCG releases them, at no extra cost.
- Do I have to print or scan anything?
- No. The wizard captures your signature on screen and stamps it into every required form. You download a complete PDF packet ready for the USCG upload portals.
- Will the system tell me which forms I actually need?
- Yes. A short Pathfinder assessment asks about your license, experience, and citizenship and turns on only the forms required for your specific application.
- Can I save my progress and come back later?
- Every answer autosaves. You can leave at any point and pick up on any device with the same login.
- Who can see my information?
- Only you and the staff at your reviewing school. Data is encrypted at rest and isolated per school by row-level security. See the Privacy Policy for full detail.
- How much does it cost?
- Mariners use EasyMMC free through their school. Schools pay a flat $299/month for unlimited active mariners — no per-student fees. See the Pricing page.
- Is EasyMMC affiliated with the U.S. Coast Guard?
- No. EasyMMC is an independent product of Lean Engineering LLC. We help you prepare the paperwork; the USCG reviews and decides on every application.
- What if the AI assistant can't answer my question?
- It escalates to your school's admin automatically, and you can also message a reviewer directly from inside your application.
